  3. Kermit is a protocol widely used on mainframes and the internet.  On
  4. many of those computers, Zmodem is not available.  It is a good error
  5. correcting protocol, and is widely used, but it is generally slower
  6. and not as robust as Zmodem.  It does not support batch transfers or
  7. recovering from a failed transfer attempt.
